ABOUT WALNUT GROVE FARM

In 1935 H.L. Wirick, Sr. purchased a picturesque farm in the foothills of the Ozark Mountains, north of Siloam Springs, Arkansas.  This farm had a rich heritage in agriculture.  Soon, where once stood apple trees, lush pastures were developed for grazing his Hereford cattle.  The tradition of stewardship was passed along to H.L. Wirick, Jr. and Walnut Grove Farm grew to be increasingly committed to preserving a holistic lifestyle.  He endeavored to become truly sustainable with his farm as well as his business enterprises.  Today Walnut Grove Farm continues to raise Hereford cattle…cattle bred to be finished on a natural grass diet only…resulting in healthy, tasty beef.

Walnut Grove Farm, through the use of research, genetics, and stewardship based methods of resource management, strives to insure and improve the future not only of the Wirick family, but, also, of all those who choose to enjoy the benefits of the healthy beef we produce
